Welcome to the 2 Sqn RAAF Association Webpage
The purpose of this website is not to duplicate information, but to assemble it under one banner for ease of reading. This site gives the chronological history of 2 Sqn from it’s inception to the present day.
This site is centred around the Vietnam War where the most accolades were achieved, unfortunately under a lot of duress from home. This is not forgetting the unsung bravery of our members through past conflicts and those of the future.
My research has revealed numerous pages of literature and photographs available on the Internet, Most have been compiled by individuals or professionals. Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be much information relating to the technical trades who achieved a very high serviceability rate on the Canberras in Vietnam and the Aircrew who flew the missions and bought the aircraft home in one piece.
With the blessing of the 2 Sqn RAAF Association, I have taken up the challenge to present this webpage with the intention to communicate with those personnel who sit quietly in the background, but would like their voice heard; this is now your chance.
Should there be something technically wrong with the information on this site or you would like to add to this webpage, please feel free to make comment through my webmaster’s email address. I will be happy to receive your input.
